About

Most attorneys start in a courtroom and eventually figure out the business world. Hannah did it the other way around — and that's what makes this practice different.
Before law school, she was working inside a government contracting business. Not observing, not interning. Actually in it — navigating compliance, implementation, regulation, and the gaps that fall through the cracks when no one's paying close attention. She learned early that the details that seem technical and tedious are usually the ones that cost people the most when they go wrong.

Law school came next, not as a pivot, but as a logical next step for someone who'd already spent years operating at the intersection of rules, risk, and consequences. She came in knowing how businesses actually work — what the contracts mean in practice, where the exposure hides, and what it looks like when things break down.

She built Schuster Law as a dual-practice boutique because that's what her background demanded. Family law. Business advisory. Private lending. The work is different across each lane, but the standard doesn't change.

The core philosophy at Schuster Law is simple: nobody will know your case better than we do.
That's not a tagline. It's the operating principle behind every filing, every argument, every client interaction. Every matter gets built from the ground up — thorough research, consistent preparation, and a commitment to finding every inconsistency in the opposing position before the other side has a chance to use it.
Whether it's a custody modification, a separation agreement, a business contract, or a private lending deal, the level of preparation doesn't change based on the dollar amount. What you get is the same intensity across the board.

Our Philosophy

Hannah Schuster is a New York-licensed attorney with a practice that spans family law and matrimonial litigation, mediation, business advisory, and private lending documentation. Her background in government contracting gives her working knowledge that most litigators simply don't have — an understanding of how compliance frameworks operate in practice, not just on paper.
She handles her cases personally. No handoff to junior associates. When you retain Schuster Law, you get Hannah Schuster.

When she's not in court or reviewing contracts at midnight, Hannah is probably on her Peloton, nominally training for something and mostly just keeping up with the rest of her life. She's a stepmom — the fun, fully-committed kind — which means her schedule is a daily exercise in logistics, negotiation, and conflict resolution. Skills that, as it turns out, also make her a pretty effective attorney.
